This education event is suitable for people who have been recently diagnosed with a blood cancer, as
well as their family and friends.
It is an opportunity to hear a medical overview of blood cancer
information, treatments and latest research, with a special focus on the cancer care system and
research initiatives within British Columbia. The second presentation will be about resources and
support available in the community for people affected by blood cancers.
After the presentations and
question period, there will be a resource fair where people can gather printed materials specific to
their diagnosis and speak 1:1 with volunteers who have met the challenge of living with blood cancer.
